Have you ever started planning a party and had to stop because all of a sudden your mind went blank with fun food ideas? Totally has happened to me, more times than I would like to admit.
Well, I am here to help you with that big fat brain fart of yours. I am too familiar with it.
There is just something about after having that 3rd kid. It’s almost like you are cursed with permanent mom brain.
That’s something the doctors should warn you about, haha.
Anywho, here are some great, fun, and easy Halloween party recipes that will be a huge hit with all your party guests.
#1 – 7-Layer Spider Web Dip
This dip recipe is brought to you by Chelsea’s Messy Apron.
It’s pretty much made like all the other 7-layer dips you come across.
Her ingredients include refried beans, taco seasoning, sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, cherry tomatoes, green onions, black olives, guacamole, and tortilla chips of your choice.
What sets this particular dip apart from all the rest is the cute sour cream spider web and the black olive spiders on top.
Other than the ingredients the only other item you would need is a cute serving dish.
#2 – Mummy Dogs
This recipe is brought to you by House of Nash Eats.
She has turned regular pigs in a blanket into fun delicious mummies.
For this recipe, all you will need are crescent rolls, hot dogs, eyeball sprinkles, and ketchup or mustard for dipping. Easy peasy.
You could even do mini mummies using the little cocktail wienies.
These would also be fun to make your kids for dinner one evening.
I know my son got a big kick out of them. He nearly lost his shit when he saw his pigs in a blanket HAD EYES, hahaha. It was too funny.
#3 – Skeleton Veggie Tray
This recipe is brought to you by Fabulessly Frugal.
I’m going to be honest, I love her blog. I have it saved in my favorites on my phone for quicker access, hehe.
She created the cutest skeleton veggie tray. Everyone raved about this little guy. And it’s really simple to make.
All you need are the veggies (duh), your favorite dipping sauce, and a Halloween-ish serving tray.
Then just cut things to size, arrange them around as needed, and BAM you got yourself a cute skeleton veggie tray.
#4 – Creepy Witch Finger Cookies
This recipe is brought to you by Simply So Good.
These butter cookies are easier to make than you think. I took a look and thought, “Well these look intimidating” Haha.
Not only are these witch finger cookies easy to make but they also taste amazing. Like, melt in your mouth amazing.
I feel it is because they are made from scratch which means they were made with love. AND, I already had all of the ingredients in my pantry.
Well, with the exception of the blanched almonds and red decorating gel.
If you aren’t one of those people who bake regularly or even want to take the time to throw everything together no judgment here sister.
I know mamas are the busiest of people EVER!
You can always get a sleeve of cookie dough and mold it into fingers then carry out with the rest of her recipe.
#5 – Scarecrow Halloween Snack Mix
This recipe is brought to you by Swanky Recipes.
Who doesn’t like a combination of salty and sweet? I know I do. So easy, delicious, colorful, AND fun.
There is no baking involved whatsoever for this recipe. You just dump, stir, and serve.
All the goodies that go into making this colorful Halloween-themed concoction are caramel corn, pretzels, honey Chex cereal, candy corn (originals and pumpkins), ghoul’s mix M&Ms, creepy cocoa Halloween M&Ms, and Rolos.
Everything you should be able to find at Dollar General or Walmart. Amazon candy prices are redonkulous but feel free to click and buy just for the convenience of it if you prefer.
She has all the measurements for ya but I want to suggest these fun serving bowls.
#6 – Graveyard Pudding Cups
This recipe is brought to you by My Name Is Snickerdoodle.
She has turned delicious chocolate pudding into a disturbing graveyard.
All you need to make this spooky delicious treat are clear plastic cups, chocolate instant pudding, milk, Cool Whip, Oreo cookies, Milano double chocolate cookies, black edible marker, candy pumpkins, candy eyes, and gummy worms.
You definitely want the gummy worms! The more realistic the better.
#7 – Vampire Chicken Sliders
This recipe is brought to you by Rave And Review.
What I love about this cute little guy is not only is he delicious but the kids get fun vampire teeth of their own to walk around in after they are finished eating.
All you need to make these vampire chicken sliders are vampire teeth, ciabatta mini rolls (or Hawaiian rolls), chicken tenders, marinara sauce, stuffed green olives, and toothpicks.
We make these regularly, minus the teeth, because they are so easy and the kids love them.
#8 – Vomiting Watermelon Halloween Fruit Tray
This recipe is brought to you by Mama Instincts.
This is so funny! I love fruit. This was beyond easy to recreate.
Here is a really cool melon baller set to make all different shapes to toss in. Makes it a little more fun.
Ya know, you could even carve out and use a small pumpkin instead of a watermelon.
#9 – Halloween Oreo Balls (5 Different Ways)
This recipe is brought to you by I Heart Naptime.
Oreo balls are one of my absolute FAVORITE desserts and they are a lot easier to make than you think they would be.
I love that I Heart Naptime not only showed us how to make a Halloween Oreo ball BUT FIVE different Halloween Oreo balls.
For all the balls you will need Oreo cookies, cream cheese, chocolate melting wafers of assorted colors depending on which Halloween ball you go with, and parchment paper. I like them all.
Spider Balls: black licorice laces and candy eyes,
Mummy Balls: candy eyes
Ghost Balls: mini chocolate chips
Pumpkin Balls: pretzel sticks and green M&Ms
Just Halloween Sprinkles Balls: seasonal Halloween sprinkles
#10 – Spooky Halloween Cookies
This recipe is brought to you by Handle The Heat.
These cookies really are cute. I love how it looks like they are looking right at you.
These cookies are made from scratch. However, if you want to take the easy way out you could always buy a couple of the double chocolate chunk cookie mix.
You just add butter, eggs, and water. Just don’t forget to add the Halloween M&Ms and white chocolate chips to the batter and the candy eyes at the end
Basically, you dump, mix, and scoop. But I would add some black food coloring otherwise they will be chocolate in color not black. Just a suggestion but, made from scratch is the bomb dot com.
#11 – Witches Broomsticks
This recipe is brought to you by Super Healthy Kids.
Simple, festive, and tasty. The only items you need to pull these brooms off are pretzel sticks, string cheese, and fresh chives.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
#12 – Realistic Jello Brain
This recipe is brought to you by Dishes And Dust Bunnies.
When I stumbled across this recipe a lump instantly formed in my throat and my nose scrunched, haha.
I mean it looks SO REAL! Since it got that kind of reaction out of ME I knew I had to make this recipe.
It will not disappoint. Just imagine how many kids you will hear say, “Ewww”.
All you need to make this “gross” dessert is the jello brain mold, peach jello, water, evaporated milk, seedless raspberry jam, and nonstick cooking spray.
#13 – Halloween Punch
This recipe is brought to you by Mom On Timeout.
Last but not least, Halloween punch! We definitely can’t leave that out.
What kind of party would it be without the fun creepy bubbly “Witches Brew”, amiright!
All you need to make this Halloween punch is ginger ale, black cherry juice, pomegranate juice, and frozen berries.
If this is for an adult Halloween party then by all means add your alcohol of choice. I would probably not add the alcohol if it’s for a kids’ Halloween party.
People tend to frown upon underage drinking. (I’m only kidding people, simmer down)
That’s it, friend, 13 fun Halloween party recipes to make for your next Halloween party.
Once you are all Halloweened out here are a few great fall soup recipes you need to try.
