Once you have tried this Million Dollar Spaghetti recipe you will not want to make spaghetti any other way. When the recipe calls for a combination of red meat sauce AND alfredo sauce, it really makes dinner hit a little different. In this post, I will show you how to make the best Million Dollar Spaghetti.
Best Million Dollar Spaghetti recipe EVER! This recipe will ruin you but in a totally good way. It also has you second-guessing your boring baked spaghetti.
If you have Tiktok, then I’m sure you have come across that famous “Tiktok Spaghetti recipe”. I for the life of me can not find the user I got this recipe from because everyone I watch has a different version and I know it’s not the one I got it from.
Either way, mine is even a little different. But the end results are pretty much the same. All versions of this baked Million Dollar spaghetti has spaghetti noodles, meat sauce, and alfredo sauce.
Million Dollar Spaghetti Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Hamburger
- 24 oz Spaghetti Sauce
- Half an Onion chopped OR Minced Onion
- Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Italian Seasoning, Salt and Pepper
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Stick of Butter
- Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 16 oz Boz Spaghetti Noodles
First things first, preheat your oven to 350°.
The second thing you want to do is start boiling a decent size pot of water to boil your 16 oz box of spaghetti noodles. Cook those according to the back of the box. Just toss the noodles in whenever it starts boiling. They need and should be finished by the time you finish your alfredo sauce.
Next, you will need to chop up half of an onion. I however did not have an onion at the time of making this post (totally not a big deal). I did however have minced onion. So I just added one to two tablespoons of minced onion instead and you couldn’t even tell a difference. So feel free to do that as well.
Once you have your onion situation figured out add it to a medium-sized pan with one pound of ground hamburger meat. I like to season my hamburger meat while it cooks. Some don’t but I do. I use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (measure with your heart). Cook this on medium heat until it’s no longer pink, and don’t forget to drain the grease.
In the same pan with your greaseless hamburger meat add one 24 oz jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce. I typically use Ragu’s tomato garlic and onion-flavored sauce. Then I also like to add even MORE seasonings to it. Because it’s a must and makes the jar sauce taste so much better. So add more garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning to your sauce (again measure with your heart).
Set the burner to low and let simmer stirring occasionally while you move on to the next step of your million dollar spaghetti dinner. Which is the Alfredo Sauce!
Homemade Alfredo Sauce
You have your pot of water going for your noodles and your meat sauce simmering. Now it’s time to make the alfredo sauce.
Honestly, you can skip this part IF you are totally fine with alfredo sauce from the jar. It will not hurt my feelings whatsoever if you have a favorite one you like to eat. If that’s the case then just wait for the noodles to boil and move on to the assembly step. (but homemade is better and I highly recommend givng it a shot, just saying)
If you are still with me let’s get our alfredo sauce from scratch on, WooHoo!
In a separate pan on medium to low heat melt one stick of butter.
Once melted add 16 oz heavy whipping cream, stir, add 1.5 cups shredded parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and 1/2 to 1 tsp of garlic powder.
Now just slowly continue stirring until all of your cheese has melted and it begins to thicken. Be patient, IT WILL THICKEN.
Once your alfredo sauce has thickened pour it into a 9×13 baking dish. Preferably a deep one but not necessary. Just keep in mind if you use a regular 9×13 baking dish it will be full and you will want to place it on a baking sheet to catch anything that may spill over while baking.
By now your noodles should be about finished. Once your noodles are done, drain them and pour them directly into your white sauce. Stir around until all the spaghetti noodles are covered in sauce and then smooth them out evenly in your dish.
Next, pour all of your meat sauce on top and smooth it out evenly across your alfredo covered noodles. DO NOT MIX TOGETHER!
Now, sprinkle around 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly across the meat sauce. All the layering is complete and it is now time to bake.
Place it in your oven uncovered and bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Don’t forget to place the dish on a baking sheet to catch the spillage if you are not using a deep 9×13 dish.
Once it is finished baking let it rest for about 10 minutes. I used to always skip this process but now I get it and implement it. I guess I grew up and saw the light HaHaHa!
That’s it, my friend. You may now dig into this amazing dish that definitely lives up to all it’s hype. Enjoy!
Here are two of my absolute favorite dessert recipes that you have got to try. Cause let’s be honest, there’s always room for dessert! Did I mention there’s no baking involved. Hell Yeah!
So get your grocery list out and add the ingredients for Banana Pudding and Chocolate Lasagna.
